Come See the New All-Electric Mustang Mach-E at Putnam Ford of San Mateo
The first all-electric vehicle in the legendary Ford Mustang lineup is the Mach-E, a performance car inspired by the Mach 1 variant from the late 1960s. The Mach 1 used to be a Mustang model that comes with a special performance package; today's Mach-E stands alone as a next-generation Mustang that is unlike any car you have seen in South San Francisco.
When the first Mach-E models arrived at Putnam Ford of San Mateo a few years ago, our sales managers were thoroughly impressed by the direction that Ford engineers are taking with EV technology. The Mach-E is a compact crossover SUV that combines the tradition of American muscle with advanced performance. Let's see what makes the Ford Mustang Mach-E worthy of so much praise.
Ford Mustang Mach-E Models and Trim Options
The four models in the current Mach-E lineup are:
- Select: The base model is loaded with technology features.
- GT: This is the most powerful model.
- Premium: This is a mid-level option ideal for touring.
- California Route 1: As its name suggests, this Mach-E is great for road trips thanks to its longer range.
Exterior Styling and Interior Comfort
The look of the Mach-E matches its innovative performance. Its contoured exterior lets you know that this is a four-door crossover as well as a luxury sports car. More importantly, the Mach-E has style elements that are emblematic of the Mustang family.
Inside, the Mach-E presents a minimalist design with a focus on comfort and technology. The Mach-E is the most passenger-friendly of all Mustangs, and you can deck it in a variety of materials that include leather, cloth, and even vegan leather. Five passengers can travel comfortably in this performance SUV.
Incredible EV Performance
This was the question many Ford Mustang fans had when the Mach-E was announced: Could an all-electric powertrain generate enough horsepower to live up to the Mustang name? The answer is resoundingly yes. The Mach-E can even outperform gasoline Mustangs with the right configuration.
If you go with the Mach-E GT model, you get dual electric motors that produce 480 horsepower and 634 pound-feet of torque. The GT can go from 0 to 60 mph in as little as 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 146 mph, which almost makes it a supercar that handles like a touring car.
Ford Mustang Mach-E Infotainment
The dashboard is dominated by a 15.5-inch touchscreen display that lets you control Ford's proprietary SYNC® 4A system, and you also have the option to connect your smartphone via Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™. The Mach-E has a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. San Mateo shoppers also have the option to equip the Mach-E with Ford's built-in navigation system.
Smart Drive-Assist Safety Features
The GT and Premium models also come standard with Ford Co-Pilot360™ 2.0, which includes features like automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and blind spot monitoring.
If you choose the advanced Ford Co-Pilot360™ package, your Mach-E will come with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, evasive steering, active park assist, pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection and traffic sign recognition.
The Mach-E is the kind of car you have to see in person to really appreciate. Come by our sales lot and ask one of our sales representatives to show you our new Ford models.
