Ford F-150 Lightning Power and Performance Specs

Each F-150 Lightning truck in our Putnam Ford of San Mateo inventory has an electric motor on each axle to give it all-wheel drive. Standard drivetrains include a 98-kWh battery to generate 452 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque. The F-150 Lightning can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in as little as 4.2 seconds and has a driving range of up to 240 miles with the standard battery.

Opting for a pickup with the larger 131-kWh battery increases the output to 580 horsepower and 775 pound-feet of torque. The added power and increased battery size allows the truck to go from 0 to 60 mph in as little as 3.8 seconds, and Burlingame drivers can expect to travel up to 320 miles on a full charge.

Depending on the trim level and chosen drivetrain, the F-150 Lightning can tow between 5,000 and 10,000 pounds.

Ford F-150 Lightning Technology

F-150 Lightning Pro trucks give San Bruno drivers a 12-inch digital instrument panel for monitoring the desired vehicle information. An automatically dimming rearview mirror protects the driver's vision at night when vehicles approach from the rear. Cabs remain comfortable regardless of the season thanks to the climate control systems that regulate two-zones. Standard infotainment systems have 12-inch touch screens, navigation software and six-speaker audio systems in addition to wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration.

Stepping up to the XLT level adds parking sensors, 360-degree camera technology and power-adjustable pedals. Lariat trucks enlarge the infotainment touchscreen to 15.5 inches while adding a premium stereo with eight speakers. Front-seat occupants gain a wireless smartphone charging device. Elite Platinum pickup trucks have premium 18-speaker audio systems, providing concert quality sound.

Ford F-150 Lightning Exterior and Interior Design

The exteriors of the all-electric F-150 Lightning trucks resemble the exteriors of the gas-powered counterparts. Sharp character lines accent the vehicle on all sides to create a somewhat rugged appearance. In the front, a narrow band of daytime running lights traverses atop the mesh grille and form angular comma-shaped arrays on either side. The lateral lights frame the vertical headlights. The Ford brand sits front and center on the grille. Without a gas engine, the compartment forms a 14.1 cubic-foot frunk, which has water-resistant lining and a drain plug.

From the side, high-cut wheel wells provide ample room for the axles and wheels to articulate while traveling across challenging terrain. All the F-150 Lightning trucks have a 5-foot, 5-inch bed, giving them 52.8 cubic feet of space, and the payload capacity ranges from 1,656 to 2,235 pounds. The truck's rear lighting mimics the style and design found in the front.

Basic five-passenger super cabs have vinyl upholstery and heated front seats. XLT models have fabric upholstered interiors with power-adjustable driver's seats. Leather encases the steering wheel. Lariat trucks have opulent leather-upholstered interiors with heated, ventilated and power-adjustable front seats. Steering wheels are also heated. Platinum pickups gain upgraded leather interiors with contoured front seats.
